1. Isn’t my Club too small to get involved with a fundraiser?

Truly, there is no Club that does not have the ability to have an activity within their membership that can raise money for Augie’s Quest. Please review the many programs that are included on the Clubs for the Cure website, which are adaptable to a Club regardless of size.

2. My Staff and I are not familiar with running a fundraising Event. What should we do?

The Clubs for the Cure Team has provided actual programs that were conducted over the past two years in raising funds for another chartiable cause. Our team has provided the following support:
Please review the various program drop down menus that are located on our website
Provided for your review is an Overview of how each program was conducted
To assist with the promotion of your event, our website provides you the opportunity to download promotional pieces that can be modified for your Club

3. What if I have other questions? Who should I contact?

The Clubs for the Cure Team has provided two opportunities for you to ask questions regarding your upcoming promotion:

1. Our website provides a link to the Director of Logistics who will ensure that your question receives a response within 24 hours by the member of our Team who is responsible for that area.

2. To review our structure we also have provided an Organzation drop down menu on our website with key contacts, phone numbers and e-mail addresses.

4. Will we be able to get more information on Augie’s Quest and ALS for our upcoming Promo?

Once again, please contact our Director of Logistics and she will put you in contact with the individual that can provide you with the support you will need for your program.

5. Is there any way that I can share my success story with Augie and other Clubs involved in Clubs for the Cure?

Absolutely! All stories can be forwarded to the Clubs for the Cure website and will be provided to Augie personally at the end of this program. In addition, please provide photos of your event as soon as possible so we may be able to incorporate them into our closing document to Augie.

6. How much of the monies we raise goes to Augie’s Quest to find a cure for ALS?

The Clubs for the Cure Team is a Health and Fitness Club just like all of the other Clubs that take part in the program. We are all taking a stand to find a cure for ALS. 100% of the monies will go directly to Augie’s Quest which is focused on research for finding a cure.

7. My Club is already involved in several other charities. How can we add another?

The Clubs for the Cure Team applauds Club owners, staff and their members for their generosity. However, we are asking every Club across the United States to harness the power of their membership and staff to conduct one event on one day to help one man as well as all of those afflicted with ALS to find a cure through a united Health and Fitness team effort. The goal of this request is to allow your members and staff to become involved in an event that will increase awareness for this disease and be part of a united national effort that will be conducted during the period of January 1, 2008 - March 7, 2008.

8. If I can’t run an event, is there any other way to get involved with the Augie’s Quest Clubs for the Cure program?

Yes! Clubs can always make donation directly to the Augie’s Quest Foundation, however we encourage all Clubs to make every attempt to conduct one event which will provide their members with the opportunity to make a difference in this effort. Through the Clubs for the Cure fundraising efforts, our membership truly has appreciated the opportunity, which allowed them to get involved in our worthwhile chartiable causes.

9. Is there a way that I can use my event to increase awareness through my community?

Definitely! Your efforts have the opportunity to provide your Club and membership exposure in your local newspapers, which showcases your Club as being a facility that is committed to making a difference in the world. Equally important, through the public you will also have increased awarness for ALS, which is one of the primary goals of the Augie’s Quest Clubs for the Cure effort.

We have provided samples of various Press Releases that we can during our Clubs for the Cure efforts in 2006/2007, located in the PR drop down menu on our website along with programs for you to follow to get local press coverage.
